We’re expecting no major changes for the 2020 Mazda CX-9, so that’s why we’re expecting to see the similar engine options that came with the 2019 model. The four trim levels receive a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front wheel-drive is standard. However, all-wheel drive is available as an option.
