Over the years, drivers have asked us some service-related questions more than others. Here are some of the Mazda service questions we most often receive.

Mazda Service Center FAQ at Med Center Mazda

Q: Do you use aftermarket parts when you work on MAZDA vehicles?

A: Whenever we work on a Mazda vehicle, we only use factory-made parts sourced from our onsite Mazda parts center. If your vehicle needs a part that’s covered by a warranty, you can make an appointment and we’ll take care of the problem at no charge to you.

Q: How long do car batteries last?

A: In general, car batteries are made to last three to five years. While that’s a general rule of thumb, many factors can influence the lifespan of a battery, such as the environment and weather.

To make sure you don’t get stuck on the side of the road due to a dead battery, it’s advisable to have your battery inspected at least once per year, especially if your battery is older than three years old.

Q: How can I tell if I need new brake pads?

A: Many drivers often ask our Pelham, AL Mazda dealers how to know when it’s time to replace brake pads. If your car takes longer to come to a stop or your brake pedal feels spongy, it’s probably time to check out your brake pads. Similarly, you’ll probably need to replace your brake pads if you start hearing screeching or grinding noises from your wheel wells when you apply the brakes.

Q: What can I do to keep my cumulative service costs as low as possible?

A: To keep your overall service costs to a minimum over the course of your vehicle’s life, you should stick to your routine maintenance schedule. You can also look through our Mazda offers before you bring your vehicle in for service. Our offers change regularly, so there are always new ways to lower your service bill.

We encourage you to give us a call or stop by Med Center Mazda if you have a service-related question we haven’t answered yet. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
