After being left home alone while the rest of the family is on vacation to Paris, Kevin is left to defend his home from the perils of two burglars, Harry and Marv. While defending his home, Kevin begins to realize that although his family can sometimes annoy him, there is really no replacement for them. 

Elf

Almost anything with Will Ferrell as the main character is guaranteed to be hilarious. This instant classic is set in New York City, and portrays a full-grown elf searching for his biological father. After making a connection, the re-bonding with the elf’s family only gets funnier as the movie goes. Elf has become one of the most quotable Christmas movies to date.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

For those who love both Halloween and Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect holiday flick. The protagonist, Jack Skellington, has lost his sense of holiday spirit, and begins to research everything there is to know about Christmas. This proves to be counter-productive for Kris Kringle as many of Skellington’s antics cause chaos for Santa.
