The Mazda CX-9 now comes with a new 10.3-inch touchscreen for 2021, enhancing the SUV’s user-friendly technology interface. Mazda also offers a Carbon Edition package for the Grand Touring model. This new bundle comes with a unique grille design as well as red leather seats and 20-inch wheels. The Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature trim levels also feature a wireless device charging pad, and the Grand Touring and Signature versions have also received new paddle shifters. You’ll also find quilted leather upholstery as a new standard feature in the Signature trim along with a driver attention monitoring system.
The CX-9 was introduced in 2007, one of Mazda’s larger offerings, with a sporty and modern design and powerful 3.5L V6 engine rated at 263 hp. That engine became even more powerful in 2008, increasing horsepower by 10 and improving torque as well. The following few years introduced updated technology features like Bluetooth integration* as well as interior and exterior styling refreshes and upgraded materials in the cabin. A complete redesign in 2016 brought the upper trims almost in line with luxury brands.
