MAZDA’s Reputation for Safety

The IIHS Top Safety Pick Awards program was first introduced in 2008, and since then, the Mazda brand has consistently presented award-winning vehicles that stand out for their safety. Of the now 100 wins for safe Mazda vehicles, 74 models were given Top Safety Pick+ recognition, which is the highest distinction the IIHS offers. The wins are another acknowledgement of Mazda’s continuous dedication to safety behind the wheel.

2026 MAZDA Award Winners

The 2026 Mazda vehicle that clinched the 100th win was the 2026 Mazda CX-5, which was awarded a Top Safety Pick+ distinction. Not only is this 100 awards for Mazda safety over the years, but for 2026, the automaker was already leading the market with eight Top Safety Pick+ awards. The Mazda CX-5 now makes that nine.
