What is Included in a MAZDA Warranty?

September 15th, 2022 by

Most new cars come with warranty coverage, but what they cover and how long they last can vary. As a result, many of the drivers who visit us here at Med Center Mazda have some questions about the Mazda warranty and what it can protect them from. If you’re a driver who is curious about how warranties work, our Mazda dealers are here to help.

Types of Warranty Coverage

Your new Mazda vehicle will come with three types of coverage. The first is a new vehicle limited warranty that lasts for three years or 36,000 miles. There’s also a powertrain limited warranty that lasts for five years or 60,000 miles. Finally, you get access to a roadside assistance program that lasts for three years or 36,000 miles. If you run into a mechanical problem and break down somewhere, this program can help you out at any time of the day or night.

What is Covered

Some drivers are confused about what a warranty actually covers. A warranty helps you out when there is a defect in the materials used to build your vehicle or in the workmanship that put your car together. This means that if something unexpectedly goes wrong and a part fails before it should have through no fault of the driver, then the warranty coverage kicks in.

Warranties don’t cover problems that are caused by misuse or neglect. If you don’t take good care of your vehicle and run into mechanical trouble as a result, your warranty is unlikely to cover the cost of repairs. So don’t skip or delay service or maintenance.
