Ditch The Caffeine In 2021
Caffeine is a wonderful, wonderful thing. It provides us all with the energy we need to get through each day! But, it does have its fair share of negative effects. Anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, and digestive issues are just a few things that drinking too much caffeine can cause. So, where should you find energy from, then? There are in fact some other options that will perk you up without all of the side-effects. Take a look at this list and see what works for you!
Water
Hydration equals energy. If you find yourself lagging, you might need to check-in and see if you’re dehydrated. An excellent way to begin the day with energy is to drink a large glass of water when you wake up and with breakfast. You’ll set the tone for a fully-hydrated day. Drinking water can counterbalance fatigue and help you feel more alert. Make it tasty by adding fruits and flavor to yours.
Peppermint Tea
You’ve probably heard of tea as a good replacement for coffee, but peppermint is different. This refreshing flavor is easy to find and easy to grow, so keep it on hand and add it to hot water when you need a pick-me-up. Peppermint essential oil works well in replacement, too.
Nuts
Protein and nutrients! Nuts are so good for you. They have carbs, fats, and protein all in one. Plus they taste pretty good, too. Sprinkle nuts on your yogurt for breakfast, or add a to-go pack to your office drawer for when you’re starting to lag. Each nut has its own amazing benefits, so do a little research to see which one you think could really help your specific needs.

B Vitamins
Not including enough Vitamin B in your daily routines can lead to mood problems, fatigue, and trouble concentrating. One easy way to slip some Vitamin B into your diet is to increase the number of nuts, seeds, and fortified grains you eat. You’ll start to notice the effects quickly. Be sure to run any vitamins you choose to take by your doctor.
Hopefully these tips can help you stay awake and thrive this year, without the uncomfortable feelings left by caffeine!
